My name is Sabine Savisalo-Schuh. I am Austrian and have just started a UK company specialising in luxury detox retreats. The Buchinger Method is one of the most researched and studied fasting or detox retreats and is famous throughout Europe. Fasting is not starving! “You no longer have to go to a Central European clinic to be purged. Sabine Savisalo-Schuh, the Austrian detox and health coach, takes over the 24-bedroom New Park Manor hotel in the New Forest several times a year for her ten-day Ultimate Detox. Based on Dr Otto Buchinger’s early 20th-century method of combining fasting, activity and rest, there are two days prep, six days of fasting (clear veg soup, porridge and not much else) and two days post-fasting, with daily yoga, Nordic walking and meditation.”
